There are certain attitudes and behaviors that Christian couples may want to avoid when it comes to intimacy. These are not simply about physical actions; they can also involve  communication, respect, boundaries, and the way partners treat one another.

1. Never use intimacy as a way to control your partner.
Intimacy should never become a tool for manipulation, punishment, or getting what you want. Withholding affection to control someone or pressuring a partner into something they do not want can seriously damage trust. A healthy relationship allows both people to express their feelings honestly and make decisions freely.
