Part 4 — Idan’s Secret

“Idan!” Adam shouted.

The courtroom erupted in confusion.

The nanny tried to catch him, but the little boy slipped away and ran toward Clara.

He wrapped both arms around her.

“Clara didn’t do it!”

The judge asked everyone to remain calm.

Adam hurried toward his son.

“Idan, you shouldn’t be here.”

But Idan refused to let go of Clara.

“I know who took it.”

The entire courtroom went silent.

Margaret stood up immediately.

“He’s only a child. He doesn’t understand what he’s saying.”

But Idan looked at his grandmother.

His eyes were filled with tears.

“I saw you.”

Margaret froze.

Adam stared at his son.

“Saw what?”

Idan pointed toward his grandmother.

“The night the necklace disappeared, I couldn’t sleep.”

He explained that he had gotten out of bed and walked into the hallway.

He saw Margaret near the jewelry room.

She was holding something.

At the time, Idan hadn’t understood what it was.

But later, after hearing everyone talk about the missing necklace, he realized what he had seen.

Margaret tried to interrupt him.

“You’re confused.”

But Idan shook his head.

“No, Grandma.”

Then he revealed something even more shocking.

He had seen Margaret place a small box inside another room.

And the next morning, the necklace was gone.

The courtroom erupted in whispers.

Adam turned toward his mother.

“Mother… is this true?”

Margaret didn’t answer.

Her silence said more than words.

Then Daniel asked Idan one final question.

“Do you know where the box was?”

Idan nodded.

He remembered the room.

The room belonged to Margaret.

Police officers were immediately sent to the mansion.

Everyone waited.

Minutes later, they returned.

One officer was carrying a small locked box.

The courtroom became completely silent.

The box was opened.

Inside was the missing necklace.

Clara covered her mouth.

She could hardly breathe.

She had been accused, humiliated, and nearly destroyed because of that necklace.

But now the truth was finally coming out.

Then the judge asked the police to investigate why Margaret had hidden it.

And what they discovered next was even more shocking than the theft itself.
